As Election Day approaches, I want to thank the residents of Rahway for your support over the last year. Whether it was your political support that carried me to victory in the June primary, or the more personal support you offered in the face of my family tragedy in September, I am humbled and honored to have you in my corner.
As Mayor, I get credit when things go right and accept blame when things go wrong. But being successful as your Mayor is not something anyone can do alone. Having an ally in Washington DC is critical to my ability to deliver for Rahway. Prior to the congressional redistricting of 2022, I always knew that Rahway could count on Congressman, Donald Payne Jr. to answer the phone and lend a hand when Rahway needed something that only the federal government could provide. But as many of you know, we are no longer in Congressman Payne’s district. We now have a new congressman – Tom Malinowski.
Over the last year, I have gotten to know Congressman Malinowski, and I am confident that he, too, will work hard to represent us in Washington. But Congressman Malinowski is in a tough fight for reelection, and Rahway’s future is on the ballot. If you want to help me help our city, the single best thing that you can do is to cast your vote for Congressman Malinowski.
Whether we are Democrats, Republicans, or Independents, we are all still Rahway. A vote for Congressman Malinowski is a vote for flood mitigation, repairing downtown train trestles, and countless other projects needed to keep Rahway moving forward.
Congressman Malinowski will answer the phone when Rahway calls. His opponent will let it go to voicemail.
